The explosive growth of mobile phone market has been idetified as the best market reach channel in today's world.In addition there are number of mobile applications been written to utilize the potential of mobile phones.Wireless networks are also another advancement for mobile phones, specially among smart phones and PDA users, but again the limited coverage and low bandwidth has been a disturbance for its usage.This is where LBS (Location Based Services) comes in handy.
In simple terms what LBS does is finiding the coordinates or Lat/Long information of a given MSISDN (Lets say a mobile number) enabling network operators to offer localized services to their subscribers/customers. Though the means like mass media, advertising on posters, banners are also capable of providing location based information mobile phones have the ability of two-way communication. This allows user to give preferences and exact location and obtained a tailor made answer for his/her need.
